Who publishes KwickEPI

KwickEPI is published by the team at KwickPOS, a restaurant point-of-sale company founded in Houston, Texas. KwickEPI is also the name of the payment-integration module inside KwickPOS, so we write about restaurant payments from the point of view of the people who build and support that software.

Articles and tools on this site are published under a single team byline rather than individual names. We sell a product in this space and we say so: when an article mentions KwickPOS or KwickEPI, treat it as the vendor talking about its own product, and compare it with alternatives.

Sources for rules and rates

Card-brand rules, interchange figures, surcharge limits and tip regulations are linked to the primary source (card networks, the Federal Reserve, the U.S. Department of Labor, state agencies) with an “as of” date. Rules change and vary by state; confirm against the source before acting.

Examples are illustrative

Worked examples in our guides are labelled “Example scenario”. They are composites built to show how the numbers behave, not real customers. We do not publish invented reviews, ratings or testimonials.

How we work

Calculators show their math

Every tool in our free calculators section lists its formulas and limitations, lets you change every assumption, and works without an email address.

Advertising & corrections

This site may display Google ads. Advertisers do not influence what we write, and we do not accept payment for coverage. If you spot an error or an outdated figure, email us and we will fix it.
